Where It Began
The Flexible Tubing Employees Federal Credit Union was established in 1972 in Abbeville, SC. In 1985, leadership determined that more people in the community could benefit from the credit union’s products and services. Flexible Tubing Employees FCU became the Greater Abbeville Federal Credit Union. The credit union continued to grow, adding more employee groups, assets, and services. In 2017, the credit union rebranded as HopeSouth Credit Union, with an increased focus on providing financial help and hope to the community at large.
Where We're Going
With over 50 years of experience, our credit union has been dedicated to providing effective solutions that have positively impacted the lives of thousands of members. At HopeSouth, community members have found financial freedom by improving their credit scores and avoiding detrimental outcomes such as bankruptcy, repossession, foreclosure, delayed retirement, and more.
