Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000 and are available based on achievements and/or financial need.

When you apply for a HopeSouth Scholarship, you’re also entered into consideration for multiple opportunities. We have partnered with Carolinas Foundation Scholarship Program — giving you even more opportunities to fund your education.

What You’ll Need to Apply

You’ll be asked to provide:

Applicant & parent contact information
High school and/or college transcripts and non-weighted GPA (4.0 scale)
HopeSouth membership info & last four digits of your member number
College/ University you plan to attend & your intended degree (non-binding)
Financial need details (if applicable)
Community & school activities
Work history (if applicable)
Your essay response

Eligibility Requirements

To apply, you must:

Have a 3.0 GPA or higher (non-weighted, 4.0 scale)
Be a primary HopeSouth member in good standing
Be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student in the upcoming academic year

Application Timeline

October 1 – February 1: Applications accepted
February – March: Applications scored & winners selected
April: Winners notified
April – May: Verification forms completed by winners
June – July: Scholarship checks mailed
